JACKSONVILLE – The Carolina Cobras (3-1) lost their first game of the season to the Jacksonville Sharks (3-1) 35-24. The game was a relatively low scoring affair, with both defenses making big plays throughout the game.
Charles McCullum made his return to the field after serving a one-game suspension last week. While he did throw for a touchdown and rushed for another during the game, McCullum threw an uncharacteristic three interceptions that led to scores for the Sharks. Carolina was also unable to keep pivotal drives alive, turning the ball over on downs numerous times. Carolina’s defense kept the team in the game all night with timely stops and turnovers.
Carolina returns to action next Friday, May 17, when they take on the Columbus Lions at home at 8:00pm.
